Scaffold

Christchurch Mission Trip – July 19 – 21
In response to the latest earthquakes in Christchurch we sent down a team to lend a helping hand. The mission was run through our C3 church in Christchurch.

About Us

Scaffold links volunteers with the needs of C3 and the greater community by providing meals, babysitting, housework, baking, gardening and more. When members of C3 or greater community are going through hard times Scaffold is here to deliver a meal or gift basket or to help out. Jesus said…when you did it for the least of these you did it for me.

Random Act of Kindness Day

RAK is a National Day in New Zealand where everyone around the country is encouraged to perform “random acts of kindness”.

In an ever changing world, where life is faster, families are busier, people are lonelier, there’s a new opportunity to look beyond one’s self, for no personal gain other than the fantastic sense of making someone else’s life brighter!

On the 1st of September we take the focus off our own lives and look for opportunities to do an act of kindness to others ~ maybe by mowing a lawn, shouting a stranger a coffee, giving flowers, or providing some needed service.

In 2007 we threw a fun fair for Koru School in Mangere this featured free face-painting, free sausages, free candyfloss, free entertainment, free everything. Over 150 members of the church joined together to pull off what was an amazing day in the lives of some of these children.

In 2011, we went to RAK Bailey Rd Primary on September 3rd. The whole school there as well as all of our church to suppo rt it with jumping castles, BBQ, music and heaps and heaps of fun for the school. Please come and join us for the next year’s RAK day!
